Griff Jones

"My paintings are about seeing God's beauty in the world around us. My desire is to create honest expression of the subjects I paint and interpret them boldly, to capture that intangible feeling that touches the soul and become great art. I seek God through his gift of light, color, nature and imagination. His beauty and grace are what I seek to communicate through my art.

Griff Jones was born in Kentucky, at an early age his family moved to the New Hope area. He attended The Art Institute of Colorado in Denver receiving his degree in Commericial Art. He has illustrated eight books and created the poster fot the Colorado Ballet as well as their ad campaign. His work was reproduced aas murals on a six story building in downtown Denver. He now makes his home in Colorado and dedecates his time and energy to his fine art paintings.

In 2007 he received the Peoples Choice Award at the 11th Annual Plein Air Artists of Colorado exhibition as well as an award of merit. That year he was profiled on CBS in Denver.

Griff's work is bold and colorful. His paintings either explode out with color or pull you into their field of color
