Joel Leiderman and Lois Davitz

Their paintings are done with inks, acrylics, and mixtures of oils. The inks are from Japan. and involve a great deal of blending of inks and acrylics to achieve special effects.

The art of Joel and Lois reflects the variety of cultures in which they have been involved as faculty members at Columbia University for over thirty-three years. They have spent time living and conducting research in North, West, and East Africa, summering in Uganda, Nigeria, and Tunisia. For a number of years they were involved in teaching and research in South America. And finally, for over twenty-five years they have worked closely with the Japanese government and the Japanese Youth Research Institute.

"Every one of our paintings is a completely original design reflecting our unique imaginations and perspectives. A great deal of time, effort, and inspiration has gone into the production of each work. We promise you a lifetime of visual enjoyment and pleasure."
